Centaur Communications Deploys TG MAXX in Belize
Centaur Communications Brings Next-Generation Android TV to Belize with Translite Global's TG MAXX
Centaur Communications, one of Belize's most established cable television and broadband providers rolled out the deployment of TG MAXX 4K Android TV boxes. This brings a modern, operator-branded Android TV experience to Centaur subscribers who can enjoy live TV, Centaur's Xpress+ streaming service and thousands of Google Play apps from a single device, while Centaur gains cloud-based control over its entire fleet of set-top boxes.
Deployment Highlight: Operator-Tier Android TV for Belize
Centaur Communications selected the TG MAXX to upgrade its subscribers with a smart, hybrid platform that combines linear TV and streaming in one device. Powered by Android 14 and the Amlogic S905X5M chipset with 30K DMIPS, the TG MAXX delivers 4K Ultra HD video.
The TG MAXX has been tailored to Centaur's brand and service:
• Branded launcher: Centaur's logo, scrolling banners and customized app rails provide a curated and personalized experience.
• Direct-to-operator experience: Xpress+ launches automatically on boot and on wake from standby.
• Backlit remote with Bluetooth + IR: Dedicated shortcut keys and quick-access buttons such as Guide, Info and Last provide a seamless user experience.
Behind the scenes, Translite Global's ATV Bridge cloud platform gives Centaur's support team a single pane of glass to provision devices, push firmware updates over the air, update apps, and diagnose issues remotely. Built-in Remote Screen sessions, network diagnostics and real-time analytics help Centaur resolve issues faster and reduce expensive truck rolls.
